I've just finished submitting all of my college apps, art portfolios included.
They've been such a big part of my time recently and the process of preparing them has really changed how I view art.
I believe my art has really matured, and though I'm eager to share what I've done in the past year, it's bitter-sweet because I know that I won't be going back to what I used to do.
But when I study art in college, and later in life, I'll have to expand even more - so really this is just the beginning.
I almost want to start over, because what I'm known for on here isn't what I want to be. But that would take too much effort.
Recognition isn't very important to me anymore. Honest feedback is, but I can get that offline. So really this is a place to store my stuff, view other artist's work, and keep in touch with friends I made in the past.
I may start using a tumblr my friend made for me for less significant (and therefor more frequent) art updates. it would be at chrysannarose.tumblr.com if anyone's interested.
I can now happily say, the most stressful part of senior year is over. I am freeee! Now I can just enjoy viewing and making art without that pressure of the future lingering so much - and I'm looking forward to it
and my complete portfolio (the website I reference people to) is here: [link]
